Getting Started: Registration & Mobile Download

If you’re looking to place a bet while you’re on the tram or chilling at the beach, the Pointsbet app is the quickest way to get in on the action. The first step is to download the official app from the Pointsbet website – it’s available for both Android and iOS devices and works on tablets as well as phones.

Once the file is on your device, open it and follow the on‑screen prompts to create an account. You’ll need to provide a valid Australian address, a phone number for two‑factor verification, and a form of ID such as a driver’s licence or passport. After confirming your email, you’ll be ready to explore the sportsbook and casino sections. To start the download straight away, visit https://points-bets-au.com/app and follow the simple instructions.

Navigating the App: Sportsbook and Live Casino Features

The Pointsbet app organises its content into two main hubs – Sportsbook and Live Casino – each with its own navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. Sports enthusiasts will find pre‑match markets for AFL, NRL, cricket and the major US leagues, plus in‑play betting that updates every few seconds.

Casino lovers can tap the “Live” tab to join real‑time dealer tables for blackjack, roulette and baccarat, while the “Slots” section houses progressive jackpots and classic 3‑reel games. Filters let you sort by game type, RTP or volatility, so even a beginner can quickly locate a low‑risk slot with a 97% return‑to‑player rate.

Bonuses and Promotions on the Pointsbet App

New users are greeted with a welcome bonus that matches their first deposit up to AU$200, subject to a 5x wagering requirement on the sports side and 10x on the casino side. The bonus code is automatically applied when you make the qualifying deposit, but you still need to meet the playthrough before you can cash out.

Regular promotions include “Free Bet Friday”, “Cashback on NRL losses” and “Live Casino reloads”. All offers are displayed on the “Promotions” banner inside the app, and each comes with clear terms: minimum odds, eligible markets and expiry dates. Keep an eye on the push notifications – they often contain exclusive, time‑limited boosts that aren’t advertised on the desktop site.

Payment Methods, Deposits, and Withdrawal Speed

Australian players have a decent range of deposit options, from credit cards to popular e‑wallets. The app processes most deposits instantly, letting you jump straight into a match or spin the reels without waiting.

Withdrawals, however, depend on the chosen method. E‑wallet payouts usually arrive within 24 hours, while bank transfers can take up to three business days. Below is a quick comparison of the most common methods:

Before you request a withdrawal, make sure your account is fully verified – otherwise the process may be delayed. Pointsbet also caps withdrawals at AU$5,000 per week for standard players, a limit that can be raised after a loyalty review.

Security, Verification, and Responsible Gambling

Security is taken seriously: the app uses 128‑bit SSL encryption and stores personal data on Australian‑based servers that comply with the Australian Privacy Principles. When you first log in, you’ll be asked to set up a two‑step verification code sent to your mobile.

KYC (Know Your Customer) verification usually requires a photo ID and a recent utility bill. The review process takes up to 48 hours, after which you can lift deposit limits and claim larger bonuses. If you ever feel you’re betting too much, the app offers self‑exclusion tools, deposit limits and a “Take a Break” feature that temporarily disables wagering.

Customer Support and Troubleshooting

Pointsbet provides 24/7 support through live chat, email and a toll‑free Australian phone line. The live chat is the quickest way to resolve login issues or clarify a bonus term, while email is useful for more detailed queries such as tax documentation.

Common problems and fixes are listed in the “Help Centre” inside the app. For example, if your deposit isn’t reflecting, the guide suggests clearing the app cache, checking your internet connection, and confirming that your bank isn’t blocking gambling transactions. When all else fails, the phone team can verify your identity over the call and manually process a pending withdrawal.
